There are several staff members in charge of the official discord server[1]. They are split in several categories.
Helper[]
Helpers take care of suggestions, bug reports and questions. They help keeping the server a clean and safe place.
Minimod[]
Minimods have the same tasks as helpers but can also take care of misbehaving users. They also handle submissions for #vote.
Moderator[]
Moderators can ban users from the discord. They manage the staff team and events. They also take care of most badges and some game-related topics. Moderators also handle helper and minimod duties.
Megamod[]
They are the admins of the server. They manage all staff and focus on things such as rules, bans from the server, and other related topics. Megamod is the highest rank in staff and also the hardest one to get. There is currently only one Megamod.
Becoming a discord staff[]
Applications for helper are sometimes available through the official Discord. The requirements are[2]
- English understanding
- Preferably over 15
- Overall maturity
- Game knowledge
Once a user applies, his application gets reviewed by the Minimods. If they get chosen, they have a trial phase, during which they learn how to be a staff member. The moderators may eventually decide to promote some Helpers to Minimods. If they get chosen, they also have a trial phase, during which they learn how to handle their new responsabilities. Similarly, the Megamod choses new moderators (without a trial phase though).
Discord staff items[]
There are two discord staff skins:
- Discord staff skin: regular items obtained by being passing the trial phase, epic items obtained by staying for a year.
- Discord moderator skin: regular items obtained by becoming a moderator, epic items obtained by staying for a year.
