The Sect Leader is a converting role. It is one of the advanced roles of Bandit.[1]
Role description[]
Each night, the Sect Leader can select one player to convert to their team, known as the Sect. This player must be from the village team, or be a voting role, otherwise they will not be converted. There can be a maximum of 5 sect members. The Sect Leader can also sacrifice a member to kill other player instead of converting. If the Sect leader dies, all sect members die too. The Sect Leader may also send one message to all sect members during the day, however this is only once per game.
Win conditions[]
The Sect Leader wins if every remaining villager or voting role is converted to the Sect. All wolves must die as well.
Interactions[]
- The Sect Leader bypasses the protections of Doctor, Bodyguard, Tough Guy, Forger, Flagger and Ghost Lady.
- The Sect Leader does not bypass protections from Jailer, Warden, Beast Hunter, and Trapper.
- Unlike the conversion, the Sect Leader 's killing does not bypass any protections.
- If the Sect Leader converts the player the Red Lady visits, the Red Lady will be converted as well.
- If the Sect Leader converts the Red Lady or Ghost Lady while they visit another player, the Red Lady or Ghost Lady respectively will be successfully converted.[2]
- If atleast a Sect member dies when the Sect Leader has 5 members, the Sect Leader can continue to convert.
- If the Sect Leader flees, all members of that Sect will revert to being villagers.
- Sected Players cannot be revived by a Medium, but they can be revived by a Ritualist.
- A Sected Ritualist can mark the Sect Leader and will make this the only exception in the game where a Killing role (Sect Leader) would be revived, if the Sect Leader is killed.
Trivia[]
- The Sect leader cannot convert the Cursed, Grave Robber,Werewolf Fan or President.
- The Sect leader also appears in Wolvesville Classic.
