Role Strategy Outfit Offer

The Spirit Seer is a role in the Village team. It is one of the advanced roles of Aura Seer.[1]

Role Description[]

The Spirit Seer can select up to two players to check their spirit. At the beginning of the next day they will be informed if either of those two players killed last night, or during the previous day in case they are a solo killer.

Win Conditions[]

The Spirit Seer wins with the village, unless if they are converted into other teams by other roles.

Interactions[]

Death[]

  • If the Spirit Seer dies during the night and does not live before the succeeding day, they will receive no information.
  • If the Spirit Seer checks the spirit of a player at night and dies the following discussion phase but is enchanted to be revived at the start of the voting phase by a Ritualist, the spirits of the checked players will be given to the Spirit Seer.

Checking Ability - Village[]

  • If the Spirit Seer checks the spirit of a villager who has killed a player, they will appear as having killed. The following villagers may appear as having killed a player at night to the Spirit Seer: Jailer, Marksman, Witch, and Astronomer. Below are other situations where a villager may appear as having killed a player:
    1. If the Marksman shoots a villager at night and dies, the shot villager will appear as having killed a player that night. This is because the innocence of that player killed the Marksman.
    2. If the Warden jails two players and one of them dies as a result of the given weapon by the Warden at night, the surviving player will appear as having killed.
    3. If the Forger gave a sword to a villager and uses it at night to kill a player, that player will appear as having killed that night.
  • If the Spirit Seer checks the spirit of a Trapper or Beast Hunter who has killed a werewolf at night due to the werewolves attacking their trapped player, they will appear as having not killed that night.

Checking Ability - Werewolves[]

  • If the Spirit Seer checks the spirit of a player enchanted by Wolf Shaman and the Werewolves kill that night, they will appear as having not killed.
  • If the Spirit Seer checks the spirit of any werewolf and the Werewolves kill a player that night, they will still appear as having killed regardless if they voted with the werewolves or not to kill a player. A Werewolf Fan that has not been attacked yet by the werewolves or a Sorcerer that has not yet resigned will appear as having not killed.

Jailing[]

  • If the Spirit Seer checks the spirit of a werewolf who has been jailed and the Werewolves kill a player that night, that werewolf will appear as having not killed.
  • If the Spirit Seer checks the spirit of the Bandit or the Accomplice who has been jailed and the Bandits kill during the night, they will appear as having not killed.

Other Interactions[]

  • If the Spirit Seer checks the spirit of any player and gets corrupted by the Corruptor, they will still get their information at the beginning of the day.
  • If the Spirit Seer checks the spirit of the Corruptor who has corrupted and killed a player the previous day, the Corruptor will appear as having killed. Interestingly, this is because the game registers this as the Corruptor killing a player at the beginning of the night and not at the end of the day.
  • If the Spirit Seer checks the spirit of the Bandit and the Bandits kill during the night, whoever does not vote that night will appear blue. There are unconfirmed parameters on situation where the Spirit Seer would see the Accomplice as blue.
  • Other roles that kill a player at night will appear as having killed during the previous night by the Spirit Seer, which are the following: Serial Killer, Cannibal, Evil Detective, Arsonist (Ignite), Bomber (Explosion), Sect Leader (Sacrifice), and Instigator.

Trivia[]

  • The Spirit Seer will have no information during a day where no one has died the previous night. Everyone will appear as having not killed.
  • The Spirit Seer must be alive to receive their information. If they are killed before the day starts, they will receive no information. This is similar to Sheriff's Ability, Watch.
  • The Spirit Seer used to see the spirit of a Beast Hunter after their trap has killed a werewolf as having killed.
  • Players speaking English usually shorten the role during reference as 'Ss', with the two s' coming from the starting letters of the role's name.
